Cobblers Cove Barbados sits on the beautiful Caribbean island of Barbados. It is an enchanting hotel that offers an unforgettable vacation experience. Known for its elegant British colonial architecture, lush tropical gardens, and white sandy beaches, this hotel is a true gem amidst the azure waters of the Caribbean Sea. In this review, we will take you on a journey through the features and amenities of Cobblers Cove. Read on as we guide you through the wonders of this property.
Cobblers Cove is an English Country House Hotel in Barbados. It has large, comfortable rooms and courteous staff. The food at the hotel is also excellent. This hotel is a member of the Relais & Chateaux hotel group. It is also one of the Caribbean's most famous hotels.
Moreover, it combines the elegance and charm of an English Country House with Barbados' tropical beauty. Many guests are drawn to the resort's tranquil atmosphere and secluded location. The hotel sits on Barbados' quiet west coast. It is also just a few minutes away from Speightstown. This town is home to an all-new luxury marina.
In a low-rise coral-stone structure, the reception is right off the road. But you will find "hotel central" in the pink Great House. Entering this brightly colored house is like walking into a beautiful home. A grand staircase leads from the hallway to the restaurant. Besides, the guest lounge located off the main hall is decorated with chairs and couches upholstered with blue and white prints.
This is a small hotel. The pool has a kidney shape. This pool is right next to the bar. It also facing the sea and has chairs and sun loungers. There are also tables and umbrellas around its perimeter.
The property is in a quiet spot along the West Coast. It is directly facing a rocky breakwater. A peaceful, narrow sandy stretch extends up the coast from the hotel to Speightstown. It's about a 10-minute walk along the sands. Speightstown also has a beautiful, relaxed pace and a growing number of restaurants and bars on the beachfront.
Consider a Caribbean version of a country-house English hotel. Cobblers Cove's style is inspired by the mansion built in 1940. It used to be the beach retreat of the plantation owner. Inside, you will find a drawing room with board games and books. As is the case with much of what is around the hotel, this mansion has a pink color. A compact, pristine garden dotted with birds and palms completes the scene. Many of the guests are older and have come for many years. A few even hold titles.
The service is excellent. Will Oakley is a British manager who is based in the UK. He does a great job of making minor improvements and keeping hotel guests happy. Turn-down service in the evening includes cookies and pastries. The hotel also offers a two-room spa and a gym. There is a tennis court and a large variety of water sports.
Moreover, on the terrace, next to the restaurant and bar, is a freshwater pool. Enjoy complimentary yoga on the pool deck or play tennis on the floodlit all-weather court. Cobblers Cove also has a gym with a full range of equipment. Besides, you can book golf through the reception. The Apes Hill Golf Course is nearby.
There are 40 sea view suites. You will find these around the estate in two-story blocks forming a U shape. All suites are in soothing floral patterns or paisley, with wicker furnishings. Moreover, bathrooms sometimes feature beautiful tiled flooring, walk-in rain showers, and bathtubs.
All rooms also have a tea/coffee station and a small kitchenette. There is no television in the room. However, there are several books. Guests can also open the sliding doors between the sitting area and patio or terrace to create an indoor/outdoor room. Colleton is the most luxurious suite on the top floor, with a rooftop plunge pool.
The suites are spacious and luxurious. They also have a private sitting room with a balcony. There is also a coffee maker, robes for toweling, REN products, and a complimentary minibar upon arrival. The majority of suites also feature double doors that connect to adjacent rooms.
Besides, two-Bedroom Suites are ideal for families and couples traveling together. The suites are free of clocks, clock radios, or TVs for total relaxation. However, Wi-Fi access is available throughout the entire hotel.
Cobblers Cove was one of only five Caribbean hotels and restaurants to receive the invitation to join the Relais & Chateaux organization. The Camelot Restaurant has been a Cobblers Cove favorite for many years. Bajan chef Jason Joseph runs it and boasts some of the best cuisine on the island. Dine on the waterfront with formality and style.
The dinner menu is usually very elaborate. However, if you're looking for something simpler, you could opt to have Barker's daily catch - Barker, Cobblers' fishing captain, will be happy to oblige. There is also a barbecue and the 'Island Night" buffet, which features local food every week.
Candlelight creates a romantic mood in the evenings. Furthermore, the bar at the poolside is open from 11:00 am until 11:00 pm. It serves refreshments like the famous Cobblers Cooler. Besides, traditional afternoon tea, including finger sandwiches, scones, and buns, is available daily. Breakfast includes a full English breakfast, and tea time is around 4 pm.
Cobblers' Cove lies on Barbados' finest and most quiet beaches. This beach offers a relaxing atmosphere with beautiful white sands and clear blue waters. If you prefer to be active, many complimentary water sports are also available. The water sports available include kayaking, sunfish sailing, and water skiing. Moreover, you can arrange scuba diving, windsurfing, and private cocktail cruises for an extra cost. Guests can also arrange to swim with turtles.

Spa products include REN, Sothys, and Phyto. The spa also offers a separate hair salon for those affected by ocean breezes.
