So in 1921, when the new owners bought the hotel, they renamed it Hotel Bedford.

Later, a Belgian entrepreneur bought the site in the 1980s. His name was Monsieur De Bruyn. He closed the hotel a few years ago when he planned to move elsewhere. Once again, the property was open for auction when the government of France finally took it over. It was soon put under the supervision of Grace Leo.
