This historical property had been home to renowned tribespeople of the time. The Ffrenches, a family from an eminent tribe, initially built the house in 1740. The property had reception rooms, bed chambers, lavish halls and corridors, servants' rooms, and a farmyard.

The adjoining Abbey was erected for the family in the 1790s but was never consecrated. However, the Ffrenches auctioned the property in 1846. It was again sold in 1897. Finally, in the 1980s, the Bourke family purchased and restored it to its previous splendor and converted it into a hotel.
