Perfectly capturing historic elegance and modern luxuries, Hotel Danieli Venice is ideal for a magical Italian experience. This 14th-century palace boasts a fairytale-like setting but all the convenient trappings guests expect of a luxury hotel. With breathtaking views, an ideal location, and awe-inspiring rooms, this resort is an experience you won't ever forget.
Hotel Danieli comprises not one historical palace but three palaces (also called "palazzi"). The original 14th-century palace was completed with Venetian Gothic architecture. It was at one time home to the area's Dandolo family. The 19th-century Excelsior palace once served as the treasury for the city, and the 20th-century Casa Nuova palace was recently reimagined and is now home to many of the guestrooms.
Sitting atop the Riva degli Schiavoni, this palace in Venice overlooking the lagoon is steps away from the action of the waterfront, where boats, tourists, restaurants, and shops all converge. However, being so close to the water, the property is minutes away from many of the sights and attractions of Venice, whether you prefer to get there on foot or by boat (a ferry stop is just across the street).
Moreover, Palazzo Ducale and Piazza San Marco are just a short walk away. Some of the most popular spots are also along the Riva degli Schiavoni.
Hotel Danieli has 210 guest rooms and suites for you to choose from. All rooms include plush beds and bedding, large TVs, and a well-stocked minibar. There are also bath amenities and décor designed exclusively for each room. The rooms are situated throughout the three palaces - Palazzo Danieli, Excelsior, and Casa Nuova. Additionally, each palace offers a different view and unique style.
The Premium Guest Room includes neighborhood views, a king-sized bed, or two doubles. There is also a marbled bathroom and local artistic and architectural touches. These rooms occupy the lower levels of the hotel.
Additionally, the Luxury Room has similar views to the Premium Room and includes a living area and a writing desk. For the same amenities in a guest room, 1 king, lagoon views, and a little more elbow room, guests might opt for the Deluxe Lagoon View or Luxury Lagoon View guest room instead. Furthermore, there is the option to have a view and a furnished balcony in the Luxury Lagoon with a Balcony room.
The Dandolo Palace Signature Suite Collection is the hotel's leading suite offering. Among the collection, there is the Dandolo Suite and Grand Dandolo Suite. The Doge Dandolo Royal Suite offers ornate Murano chandeliers, a separate bedroom, one-and-a-half bathrooms, an elaborate living space, and unparalleled lagoon views.
Additional suite options include the Executive Bedroom Suite 1 king bed. This has a private bedroom, a separate living area, a shower, a soaking tub, and a powder room. Double vanities are also in the bathroom and parquet floors, King Lagoon View Excelsior, and King Junior Suite.
The Signature Suites offer lagoon views and the coveted corner position – where noise and neighbors are minimal. It has high ceilings, historical paintings, double vanities, and a state-of-the-art sound system. There is an entertaining area, plus all the luxurious trappings that come standard in every room.
Although plenty of dining options are along the Riva degli Schiavoni, you won't have to leave the hotel to experience fine Italian dining. There is the Restaurant Terrazza Danieli. It offers a rooftop view of the city and the Serenissima and an all-day menu highlighting local ingredients.
Moreover, enjoy a beverage al fresco at the Bar Terrazza Danieli and drink in views of Venice. Or, head inside to the Bar Dandolo, which sits just inside the ornate lobby and is a great pit stop for everything from your morning Americano to the last call.
Additionally, the Danieli Bistro offers more casual fare. It's in a relaxed atmosphere where guests can enjoy an internationally-inspired menu and views of the lagoon.
For use by hotel guests only, Danieli offers a fitness center that is open 24/7. Equipment includes treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical machines, and free weights. The center also comes with water and towels, and complimentary disposable headphones. You can also order spa services in-room.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and in every room. Besides, it is accessible in all public spaces. There is also a 24-hour business center for those visiting Venice for work and play. Moreover, a breakfast buffet is available daily, and room service is always available.
Venice offers all the details that combine to make an unforgettable vacation. Moreover, Hotel Danieli is within walking distance (or a trip by water bus) to almost everything.
Besides, St. Mark's Square is a stone's throw away. Here, guests can visit sites like the Palazzo Ducale, St. Mark's Basilica, and the infamous Bridge of Sighs. History buffs can also stop by the Piombi Prison, where the one and only Casanova was imprisoned in the eighteenth century.
Additionally, you cannot visit Venice without taking a Vaporetto tour along the Grand Canal. Save yourself enough time to stop at the fresh fish and vegetable markets at Rialto. There are also numerous wine bars along the canal.
Water taxis are available outside the hotel to take guests on day trips to the nearby islands. Lido is best known for its picturesque beaches, Murano for the handcrafted glass pieces and impeccable lacework from Burano, and Torcello is charming and quiet.
The beauty of Hotel Danieli is apparent as soon as guests walk into the lobby. Chandeliers made with Murano glass, large open ceilings, and marble everywhere makes it feel palatial. The hotel's history is expertly blended with modern updates and contemporary comfort touches. With its reputation for serving royalty and the elite, you'll feel royal yourself staying at Hotel Danieli in the heart of Venice. This hotel will become a Four Seasons Hotel in 2024 and will remain among the best hotels in Venice.
