The Venice of America, Fort Lauderdale, is famous for its beautiful scenery and extensive canal system. However, 25 miles north of Fort Lauderdale, you will find the extraordinary Florida bolt hole, The Boca Raton Resort, with the Boca Raton Beach Club. The epitome of understated luxury, this hotel offers a blissful experience to all its guests. It is a popular vacation destination for people who want to spend some relaxing time recharging.
Today you may know the Boca Raton Beach Club Resort as an independent hotel, but it was not always so. When it first opened in 1926, it was called the Cloister Inn - Named because the hotel's architecture drew inspiration from the 11th-century Spanish convent. The hotel was already struggling to be a little more than an isolated farm town; the property was foreclosed on only a year after its opening.
Over the upcoming decades, the property saw numerous waves of teardown, construction, and redevelopment, the signs of which are still evident today. Additionally, the property changed many deep-pocketed owners during its lifetime. However, until summer 2021, the Boca Raton Beach Club Resort did belong to Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, a luxury hotel and resort brand of Hilton Worldwide.
The Boca Raton Beach Club Resort is right off the Atlantic Ocean amongst the many hotels and private condos lining the stretch of private beach on southern Florida's Gold Coast. Technically, it is separate but still part of the historic Boca Raton Resort & Club.
You can jump between the two locations via the free Mizner's Dream boat shuttle. The Club is on the soft sands, with downtown Boca Raton a few minutes drive away. Furthermore, if you go south or north for forty minutes, you will reach Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood airports and Palm Beach.
All the living accommodations at this luxurious hotel are large and tastefully designed. They are bright and straightforward, beautifully decorated in beach blues and greens. The 212 rooms and suites are bright and sunny. They feature floor-to-ceiling glass walls with sliding doors opening to the awe-inspiring ocean view.
Additionally, the suites here are all ocean-facing. The suites span over 840 to 1,680 square feet of area and offer a relaxing luxury experience. You can choose between one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom suites. Each one has a respective number of king-sized beds and bathrooms. There is also a separate living room with a deep-seated sofa, a powder room, and a desk.
The rooms are also spacious spreading over 420 to 500 square feet. However, even in this category, there is much to choose from. Some offer ocean views, and others are pool-facing. Oceanview rooms have sun decks or balconies, while the pool view rooms offer a lanai. You also have a choice between 2 double or one king bed. A sofa, a desk, and one or two ottomans further furnish the rooms.
The ocean-facing rooms provide easy access to the sand and sea, while the pool-facing ones have direct access to the pool and beach. The bedding is all premium, but you can also ask for hypoallergenic bedding. Furthermore, if small kids accompany you, you can request a crib or an infant bed.
Moreover, the bathrooms contain a spacious rainfall shower and a bathtub. You also get Ferragamo designer toiletries, bathrobes, a shaving/makeup mirror, and a hairdryer.
The Accommodations range from spacious guestrooms up to Suites with floor-to-ceiling windows.
There is a good variety of culinary experiences available at Boca Beach Club. In addition, you can choose the two newly debuted venues – Beach Club Lounge and Marisol.
Colin Cowie reimagined the hotel's chic lobby into a 2,500-square-foot Beach Club Lounge. It boasts an inviting atmosphere with several indoor and outdoor seating areas. It serves from dawn till dusk, so you can enjoy everything, be it a sun-drenched latte, delicious lunch, or a romantic, candle-lit dinner.
Moreover, Marisol is only steps away from the sand. Here you can enjoy seaside lunch or dinner from their fresh seafood menu. You can also sip an exquisitely crafted cocktail at the alfresco terrace.
There is also a beachside Airstream kitchen that serves pop-up dining experiences with visiting chefs. A 24 hours room service is also available on request —the terms and conditions of the resort state it to be a non-smoking premise.
The Boca Raton Beach Club Resort does not have a full-service health spa. But you can enjoy an exclusive spa and salon experience at the sister property, the Boca Raton Resort. Take a ride on the complimentary shuttle boat to get there conveniently.
The hotel has a massive, 24 hours fitness center and gym. You can train with free weights or on weight machines, cardio machines, and Kinesis multifunctional stations.
Additional amenities and activities here comprise a trio of large pools. This includes a lap pool surrounded by cabanas, loungers, and palm trees.
Additionally, in-room entertainment includes an iPod dock and a medium-sized flat-screen TV. You also have a minibar and Keurig coffee maker. All public places and the business center have complimentary high-speed internet access.
You can also book the tennis courts at the hotel for an additional fee. There is an ATM and currency exchange facility next to the front desk. You also enjoy full resort access in a breezy, beachy style, with waterfront pools and a private beach. The Boca Raton Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course and is just a 5-minute drive away.
The resort is exceptionally children-friendly, with an exclusive zero-entry pool and a kids club. In addition, they arrange exciting activities like hair braiding and sandcastle building to keep the little ones entertained.
If you are interested in having a luxurious and relaxing time at the beach, The Boca Raton Beach Club Resort is the perfect place to let your hair loose. You can dip in one of the pools or soak up the sun at the private golden beach.
The cherry on top is the Volvo test drive program. The Boca Raton Beach Club has partnered with Volvo and offers the cars for complimentary guest usage. So you can get one on a first-come, first-served basis and use it to explore the attractions along the coast of South Florida.
